WISDOM OF THE WHEEL:
Contemplating the Sacred and Sublime
A Zoom Event Facilitated by Rev. Dr. Julie Brooks
Thursday, August 19, 2021
7:00-8:00 p.m.
Thirty spokes share the hub of a wheel; yet it is its center that makes it useful. ~Lao Tzu
As we may traditionally think about the bicycle as a mode of transportation or a mechanism for getting some exercise, so too may it be a tool for distilling our attention, deepening our awareness, and developing our ability to merge more intentionally with the sacred and sublime. During this Gathering, a weekly, online event through One Spirit Learning Alliance, we’ll settle into our saddles and, with the aid of several contemplative practices, explore the wisdom of the wheel. Whether you ride a bike, support a pedaler, or are simply interested in how the bicycle can bring contemplation to the roads of the world, please join us for a slow and steady roll toward emptiness.
To register, please follow the link above. You will be asked to make a “love donation” (which you are free to choose or decline) which goes toward supporting the wonderful Interfaith and Interspiritual works of OSLA. Once registered you will receive a Zoom invitation and link for the evening’s Gathering.
Thank you, in advance!
